Risks of creating food from spent grains
Products won’t sell - It is possible that the products won’t catch on and they will not sell enough to make a profit. In order to solve this, before development, a consumer interview should be created in order to see what the consumer wants out of these products. This will give a better idea of what products will sell better than others. There should also be frequent reviews of how well the products are selling and necessary changes should be made in order to keep the products relevant and profitable.
Breweries don't adopt the solution - It is reasonable to assume that not all breweries will choose to spend time developing and perfecting individual recipies to sell products. In this case, it would be ore profitable to create an offsite company that would process grains bought from different breweries into new products to be sold.
Different grains causing difficulty - Differing grain quality for each different brew means the grains may not be completely uniform over each batch. This may lead to substantial processing difficulties and production may become too expensive to be profitable. This can be overcome by ensuring that grains are stored properly until the time that there is enough grain for a batch, and grain types aren’t mixed. This will lead to a more predictable outcome, which is the most reasonable scenario for a factory production.
