Our group has chosen to work on expanding and future proofing the beer industry in New Zealand for 2025. We chose this industry as it was a food industry all team members were interested in and vaguely familiar with. There also is a growing market for beer both in New Zealand and internationally, providing a lot of opportunity for creativity and expansion within the New Zealand beer industry. We also wanted to avoid an industry which has already been widely developed, as this would limit the types of solutions we are able to come up with in this project. Therefore, we felt beer was a practical choice for our project, especially because of the resources that are available to us regarding beer at Massey University.
